WORLD EDUCATION SUMMIT, 2011

Mr. Amol Arora, the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of SHEMROCK and SHEMFORD Group of Schools, as a matter of immense pleasure and pride, was a part of the 1st World Education Summit (WES) 2011. World Education Summit, as clearly indicated by its name, is the foremost event in the field of education, globally. The summit was joint venture, organized by Indira Gandhi National Open University, Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies and Elets Technomedia Pvt. Ltd., on 13-15 July 2011 at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, India.

Issues like Skill Development, Vocational Education and all the aspects of School Education and Higher Education were the prime factors of discussion at the summit. Stakeholders in the field of education, from across the entire globe got a chance to recognize opportunities for themselves and realise their potential at all – international, national, regional and local – levels.

In the three-day, all-inclusive summit, where several experts from the education industry, came in unison to pour in their views and experiences, Mr. Arora spoke about the current trends and future scope of School Education. The event served as a platform for the education industry leaders to explore their collaborative opportunities with the leading educational institutes. Besides this, Mr. Amol Arora also interacted with the top functionaries from education regulatory bodies including AICTE, UGC, NAAC, CBSE, MHRD etc.

WES 2011 was a major global platform, that brought together the Education leaders, Industry, Academia, Policymakers, Government functionaries, Civil Society Organisations, International Developmental agencies, Communities of Practices (CoP), Change Agents across nations for discussions, dialogues, debates and deliberations upon policies, tools and techniques of learning towards Education for all.
