  • First, decide on your budget. Typically, a Kindergarten, Montessori school or a play school in Uttar Pradesh would require capital investment ranging from Rs 6 lakh onwards.
  • The next step is to get land for your play school. Whether you are want to open pre-school in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Bareilly, Meerut or any other city in Uttar Pradesh, you will require minimum of 2,000 sq. ft. of land, which could be leased (with rent agreement of at least 5 years), or property of your own.
  • After you have decided upon the location, the next step would be to get permission from the authorities concerned, in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Once you are done with the choice of location, the next step would be to prepare a list of the equipment necessary for a pre-school to operate smoothly. This would include toys and rides required by small children to indulge in different activities. Make sure that the equipment can be placed in the school’s premises without clutter.
  • Remember that a school is known by its name. This explains that branding will be your next step. Make use of an attractive advertising and marketing campaign for your pre-school in Uttar Pradesh, to make it known throughout the state.
  • Not only name, pre-schools are also known by their teachers and management. Therefore, recruit candidates who have successfully completed 10+2 and NTT course or have done graduation with minimum six months’ experience.
  • After the process of hiring, you will have to decide upon the school fee. For the purpose, you may conduct a survey and know what amount do the other Kindergartens, Montessori and play schools in Uttar Pradesh charge as their respective fees. This will give a clear idea as to how much you will be charging. Remember, parents will be willing to pay good amount of fees to ensure that their children are given good quality education.

  1. It depends on what type of pcehrsool you want to work in. Most places require teachers to have at least their CDA (child development associate credential). It’s like an endorsement for your AA. Some places require an AA and the CDA. NAEYC (national association for the education of young children) recommends that NAEYC accredited schools have teachers that have at least an AA degree. Some Head Starts are beginning to not require but seek out teachers with their BA either in Education or Early Childhood Education.Montessori pcehrsools require their teachers to be Montessori trained or certified. A CDA consists of 12 creditsyour AA, 90 (2 years)and a BA is 180 credits (4 years)with a BA you can also receive an Early Childhood endorsement that will make you a more likely candidate (if your degree isn’t already in ECE)Hope this helps

  2. A primary school opening in densely populated village 10 Kms away from Jhansi is considered. Kindly advise us to go ahead with valuable comments.
